We just unexpectedly retired two ponies from Maryland to our farm. They are both 22 years old. We had planned to retire a pony named Fancy. Well, Fancy had an offspring named Sassy that was weaned 22 years ago with another pony Sparkle. We had homes for Sassy and Sparkle, but when it came time to split them Cynthia, who bred them and my mom couldn't do it, so now all three ponies are retired to Carousel Farm. Not having a job, but being inseparable, I thought they would make the perfect Roman Riding Team. We just started working them as a team. I will have to keep you informed on their progress! They are both about the same height and similar coloring. They make a great little team! After going to canada with us, my dad decided that he to should be in the Night of Amazing Horses Show. Above you will find his audition tape made a Sparkle. It was really quite funny!
Lizzy Liz is a really cute, really chunky small pony. She is another red mare. She is very sweet with people, but quite bossy in the field with the other horses. This is why she only goes out with one other horse. We put her out with Prescilla, who is a large yearling filly, who is also very bossy. We figure, that Liz can teach her some manners without hurting her. Liz is owned by a client of Elizabeth Solters, she is here for training and to be shown. She jumps great and has a hugh stride. We are hoping to qualify her for pony finals. She is really fun to ride.
