Everyone in life faces challenges.  When people meet me….the obvious challenge that I face is that I was born with one hand.  Fortunately, I believe that I can do anything.  I am fortunate to have wonderful friends, family and animals that help me to go after my goals. 

 

Traveling around I meet a lot of people.  My mom said when you are given opportunities, that you should find ways to give back by helping others. 

 

Horses are an amazing gift in my life.  There is a program in Los Angeles, that is actually chaired by a woman, who inspired my mom as a kid, that helps kids from tough situations to help realize their potential through interaction with horses. 

 

My mom and I decided to donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of t-shirts and visors to Horses in the Hood.  Horses in the Hood has acquired land in Los Angeles.  They are trying to build a barn to house the program.  It is my hope that by bringing additional attention to the program, that an investor will come forward to fund the construction of this facility and other will be motivated to donate to this great program.

 

And if you are just a kid like me…..GO out to the barn and hug your horse.  Than think about what life would be without horses.  Than realize that you can help another kid to experience the joy of riding.  If your farm, 4-H club or parents workplace is looking for a great charity to contribute to ……consider Horses in the Hood!  Or maybe your farm might consider running a little fundraising activity for Horses in the Hood!  When it comes to kids and horses ………what better gift could you give!
