How did you loose your hand? This was how I was born (numerous e-mails)
Do you feel that it affects your riding? It is hard to say, because this is all that I know. My mom says the best riders ride by feel, where the horse is naturally balanced underneath you. Many riders balance on their hands and the horse than balances on the bit making it impossible for them to perform at the top of their game. I believe that I can do anything I set out to do. Maybe I just have to work a little harder or smarter, but this isn't such a bad thing (numerous e-mails)
How old were you when you first worked with Tommie? I was seven years old. (Amanda, Ocala, FL)
Who is your favorite horse? Thats hard, because I really love every horse that I ride, but Toby and Rosie have a very special place in my heart. i have had Toby forever. Everyone thinks he is easy, but he isn't. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body, but he makes you work for everything and can get very grumpy. He has stopped at many a jump. In addition, once he does his job, he expects to be put away. He is not a pony that is tolerant of you practicing on him. I love Rosie, becuse I wasn't suppose to be moving to horses yet. She is challenging to ride, but she loves me. (Sarah, Baltimore, MD)
